Hello all.  I know it's been awhile since I last wrote anything.  Work has been very busy for me and I have not had the time to sit down and write anything.  Now that most of the flu has come and gone from where I am, things should slow down a bit.

Bowling has been a little better for me during the winter league.  I think what has helped was getting a new ball that works well with the house that I am bowling at.  I was using a Total Annihilation and a Rampage.  They worked ok but just not enough.  I now have a Terminator and it has made a big difference.  I bowl at least one 200 + game every week.  I have now raised my average from 170 to 180.  We have only a few more weeks before the winter league ends.

Hello everyone.  I am sorry it has been awhile since I have been here.  I have had a couple of deaths' in the family which had subdued the most activities for awhile.  Things are getting back to normal now. 

 I don't remember what I wrote in my last blog post so if there is anything that is repeated, I apologize.  I finished the summer league with a 170 average.  I will admit that it is not as high as it could have been, but half way through the summer they changed the lanes from wood to synthetic.  To say the least, this confused many of the bowlers.  I had been using several different balls.  I was using my older ebonite balls, Nitro/R and Turbo/X.  They did ok but not as well as I expected.  That's when I started using my Brunswick Rampage and MoRich Total Annihilation.  The Rampage seems to be working much better than the T.A.  The T.A. just doesn't finish like I thought it would.

My wife being sympathetic to how I had been feeling for the past few months and seeing how the T.A. wasn't doing what it was supposed to do, she bought me a new ball for Christmas.  She got me Lane Master's Terminator.  I tried it out and it does hook more and finished better than the T.A.  My average is up to 170 now and I believe I am figuring out the lanes better and earlier than I was before.  Hopefully adding the Terminator will give me an added weapon to help me raise my average.

Sorry it's been awhile since I have been here but there has been a lot going on not only in bowling but at home.

I finished the summer league with my team in 2nd place.  I ended up with a 170 average not bad.  The house midway through the summer changed from the original wooden lanes to all synthetic lanes.  It was a big difference.  I have been bowling in the winter league now for the past month and I still have not gotten used to the lanes.  My average has plumeted to a 160!  Not too good.  Does anyone have suggestions on how to bowl on synthetic lanes?  This is my first exposure to them.

Hopefully things will improve through the rest of the winter league.

The winter league is finally over for this year!  It was not one of my best nights.  I rolled a 500 series.  I started out not being able to hit anything, then improved a little and then fell again.  My scores were 138, 202, 160.  I am glad it is over.  This coming Tuesday we start the summer league and we are going to a different house to bowl in.  It is a good house but the competition is much stiffer.  Will let you know how things go in a few weeks.  At this house we will actually be able to get a USBC card.  It's a long story.  If interested, drop me a line and I will tell you about it.

This was week #30 for the winter league, we have 6 more weeks.  It has been a long winter league.  Last night was another not so good night.  The lanes were confusing.  I threw my Total Annihilation going between the 2nd and 3rd arrow, was headed to the pocket, and lo and behold it skidded instead of hooking into the pocket.  I switched to my Rampage and moved out a little to the 3rd arrow but it wouldn't bite.  I had a poor night, I threw a 158, 183, and a 187.  My average is still a 182.  Hopefully during the last 6 weeks I can really wake up and try to get my average up.

I do have a question for anyone out there.  I am looking for an Ebonite Total NV to purchase.  Is there anyone out there who would like to sale one?  I have a Morich Total Annihilation and a Brunswick Rampage.  I would like to go back to an all Ebonite arsenal.
